What is the best stock from China? Alibaba? Tencent? BYD? Qudian?
The best stock from China, in my opinion, is China Mobile, the largest network operator in the world.
China Mobile is partly owned by the Chinese government and is, therefore, in the old Chinese economy (state capitalist) as opposed to the new economy (entrepreneurial capitalist), which contains companies such as Alibaba and Tencent.
Investing in the old economy represents fewer risks since these companies are already well established, and we should not expect increased government involvement. In the case of China Mobile, the company doesn't have any debt at all, is growing at a slow rate, and pays an 8% dividend yield.
