I have been investing in Skyworks Solutions since 2018 and it has been priced as a value stock for most of this time despite the 40% growth in revenues. I have heard all the reasons why not to invest in Skyworks Solutions, too much dependence on Apple, trade war with China, pandemic, supply chain issues,...
However, the company has managed these issues effectively by diversifying its business through the acquisition of the Infrastructure and Automotive business of Silicon Labs and maintaining a healthy balance sheet.
In addition to being a solid company, SWKS is also friendly to its shareholders. The company has been increasing its dividends in recent years, now offering a yield of 2%. It has also been buying back shares and recently announced an additional buyback of around 10% of its outstanding shares.
While SWKS may seem undervalued, it is important to be cautious as it can be volatile and tends to make bigger movements relative to the NASDAQ and Apple stock. I like the management's enthusiasm in their long-term estimates for the company, but I chose to be more conservative in my analysis.
